“If it had not been for Sharon and LifeCare...”
Keyna recently stopped by Austin LifeCare to thank volunteer Sharon Davis and to tell her about her beautiful six-month-old daughter. Keyna had faced unexpected pregnancies before and had chosen abortion. This time was different because of Austin LifeCare, and now so is her life.
When Keyna came to LifeCare Pregnancy Services in July 2006 for a pregnancy test, she said she wanted to keep the baby if the test was positive even though her boyfriend had left her. She had support this time and felt she needed to start taking care of herself. She had an eight-year-old son who needed her too. She said she didn’t intend to have an abortion like she had before.

The Story of Sarah... and Kyla
Dear Friend,
I would like to express my deep gratitude to you for supporting the vibrant, life-giving ministry of Austin LifeCare. LifeCare means so much to me and my family, because it is through their work that my daughter was spared from becoming an abortion statistic and came to be a member of our family instead.
Kyla is so precious, sweet, and funny! I am certain that if you could spend even one hour with her, you would fully comprehend the value of your contributions of time and money to this important ministry.
Kyla’s birthmother, “Sarah”, came to LifeCare as a teenager who was frightened, devastated, and totally alone. When she was given a sonogram through LifeCare, it gave form to her precious daughter. As a result, she elected to place her little girl for adoption. The LifeCare staff supported her with her decision, giving her the love and acceptance she needed to see the pregnancy through. LifeCare put Sarah in touch with the adoption agency we were using, and she picked us to raise her child.
